Grenache | the warmth of the Mediterranean

  • Grenache (Garnacha) is native to Aragon, Spain. It has thin skin, high sugar levels and a high tolerance for drought
  • Climate: warm–hot climate
  • Styles: usually blended, it’s a key variety in the wines of Southern Rhone, Languedoc and Roussillon ( France ), and Rioja and Priorat ( Spain ); used for rose wine production
  • Structure: dry, moderate acidity, low–medium tannin and medium–full body
  • Classic Aromas: strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, white pepper, meat, stewed fruit
